Nature’s pool. Outdoor calm.
Nestled in the countryside, right on the grounds of the Uhlenköper Camp, the NaturFreiBad Uelzen awaits you. Here, you can swim without chlorine or chemical water additives. Instead, the water is purified naturally through a planted ground filter.
Whether you want to swim a few quiet laps, cool off on a warm summer day, or splash around with the kids, the NaturFreiBad offers plenty of space for exercise, play, and relaxing moments surrounded by nature.

Swimming Fun for the Whole Family
The NaturFreiBad is divided into different swimming areas. Swimmers can do their laps, while children and less experienced swimmers can enjoy the shallower areas. There is a separate, easily supervised wading area for the youngest children.
The slide is especially popular, as it gives swimmers extra momentum when they jump into the water. All around the pools, spacious green areas and shady spots under old trees invite visitors to relax, read, and have a picnic.
That way, everyone can find their favorite spot—whether in the water or on the lawn.
Swimming Without Chlorine
At NaturFreiBad, the water is not treated with chlorine or other chemical additives. A planted bottom filter handles a significant portion of the natural water treatment.
The result is a swimming experience that is deliberately different from a traditional outdoor pool. The water is alive, the plants are an integral part of the design, and the entire facility blends harmoniously into the green surroundings.
Swimming in a natural setting also means that, depending on the weather, the season, and natural conditions, the water may look different than it does in a conventionally treated swimming pool. That is precisely what gives a natural outdoor pool its character.
Play, splash around, and explore
For children, the NaturFreiBad is more than just a swimming pool. The shallow areas, the slide, and the nature-inspired design provide plenty of space for play and exploration.
While the children are in the water, parents can relax on the lawn or combine their visit with a break at the Uhlenköper Camp bistro.
Please note: Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising children throughout their entire stay.
