The shut down hotel Masters Home at Johnsburg 1 in Uelzen has a new owner. Mrs. Sybille Koch sold the house to the operators of the Uhlenköper camp in Westerweyhe, the siblings Michaela Paul and Thomas Körding.
The operation of the ecological campsite in Westerweyhe with the NaturFreiBad and canoe rental came in the last few years more and more to the capacity limits. For some time, the family business was looking for other tourist fields and came across the house from 1895, which was last successfully run as a hotel garni and previously with a restaurant and bistro pub by the Koch family, who have ceased operations for reasons of age.
Michaela Paul and Thomas Körding now want to enrich the recently greatly thinned hotel landscape in Uelzen with a new concept and after extensive renovations. In addition to the name, a lot more will change. The hotel will also be operated without a restaurant as a breakfast hotel. However, as with the Uhlenköper camp, the special feature will be the consistent ecological and biological orientation. The renovation will be carried out exclusively with building biologically harmless materials and also in operation solid wood furniture, organic ingredients for breakfast and beds, bed linen and towels from controlled organic cultivation determine the ambience. There should be no compromises. Another special feature will be the use of digital innovations to increase occupancy and service. Everything is equipped with self-check-in and digitized information system, which reduces reception times to a minimum. Also, the supply will initially be unfamiliar, because out of respect for discarded food on a breakfast buffet is dispensed and dishes are offered. The other supply will be done by modern hotelomats.

In this respect, the target group in particular are those guests who are digitally on the move and attach importance to sustainable equipment, with bicycle travelers being addressed as well as business guests or family visits.
Due to the special concept, the small hotel with 10 rooms will be less competition than an enrichment to existing accommodation in Uelzen.
An opening date can not yet be named because of the extensive renovations including testing of fire protection measures.
